a bow to the bloodsuckers

Believe it or not, before I was the Queen Texan Zombie Goddess that you have all come to loathe, err, love, I was obsessed with vampires.

Not just in love.

Ob......sessed.

I lived, breathed and bleed the bloodsuckers. Even wrote my college thesis on vampire lore.

Here is my nod to where the Zombie Goddess began:

"Fright Night"

No freaking remakes here. Straight up Chris Sarandon as Jerry Dandridge and William Ragsdale as Evil. Why couldn't he have moved in next to me. Colin Farrell, you may be pretty, but you will never do what Chris did for me.

"Blood For Dracula"

As far as I am concerned, you cannot, under any circumstances, say you are a lover of any type of genre if you only go as far back as 1985. Udo Kier was, and still is, a god when it comes to campy horror. "Blood For Dracula" was *amazing*, and showed Warhol and Kier at their creepiest.

"Dracula"

Bela Lugosi. Nuf said.

"Dracula 2000"

There should be a movie poster here for this movie, but who needs that when you can have Gerard Butler without a shirt.

"The Lost Boys"

Had this poster in my high school locker, in my yearbook, in my Senior memories book, on my Netflix queue...you get the idea.

"Salem's Lot"

Stephen King's nod (I feel) towards where it all begin with Noferatu. Awesome movie.

"Forever Knight"

Last but not least, a vampire t.v. series starring Geraint Wyn Davies and Nigel Bennett. Never missed an episode and even own the series on DVD. Yeah yeah, there is "Angel". Have that series too, but it was a spinoff of Buffy the Dumbass Blonde Slayer. "Forever Knight" was it's own creature.

Before you yell at me, I know. You do not see the ultimate of the ultimate. I thought I had a picture, but I do not.

The greatest movie of all time.

"Nosferatu".

Original silent tale of terror.

I feel dirty inside.

Sic a vampire on me...maybe a Butler/Sarandon/Lost Boys hybrid.

Go ahead.

I'll take my punishment...happily.

Peace, Love and (you suck and it makes me smile) Zombies \IiiI

I think vampire obsession is just like masturbation. We've all been crazy about it, at least for a short period of time, and those who haven't (even once) are not quite human lol

What about "Dark Shadows" the soap opera that was on in the 1960's and '70's...it was great fun with Barnabus the vampire...

Nosferatu actually scared the crap out of me as a kid.
You already know I love The Lost Boys.
I actually started out as a werewolf lover and crossed over to vampires.
