bits and bobs

I've been around, just not here. Been feeling low and cranky and quite frankly, pissed the f off. No, I am not sure why. If I did, I wouldn't still feel that way. Anyhoo, I have a few pics to share with y'all.

The first one is from the cafe that the memorial was held at. La Tierra Cafe. The food is obnoxiously amazing and the owners were wonderful people. Would have been a totally kick ass party, save for the reason we were there. I hope to get to go back there soon...very soon.

The beautiful, stunning, amazing, sweet, talented, loved by all Wiley. I wish I could be there to take care of her when everyone has to go home and the new reality settles in. Thankfully, Naomi will be spending a few weeks with her so she won't be totally alone.

The day before, I went to Las Cruces to visit a friend I haven't seen in 20 years but loved just the same, Carrie. Her and her girlfriend, Char, took me out to have lunch at this nummy little if-you-blink-you-will-miss-it cafe called "Nellie's". OMG....the The green sauce. The cheese enchiladas. The chile rellenos. The freshly made chips. An orgasm on a plate.

Believe me you, if I batted for the other team, I'd be all over Carrie. She is too cool for words!!! Hell, who am I kidding?? I'd be all over her NOW if I lived there lol!!!

Carrie and the luscious Char. Fabu folks if there ever were any!!!

Now I am home, Autumn is setting in not fast enough, and winter is coming too damned soon. Hopefully Sunday after next we will be going to an orchard I love in Montrose for hay rides, cider and doughnuts, caramel apples, the works. I may even take pics. Bet you can't wait.

That's all for now.

Peace, Love and (mmmmm, *real* Mexican food) Zombies \IiiI

p.s. the new pic in my title was taken by me just behind the La Tierra Cafe on the Franklin Mountains. The star was set up during the Iraqi hostage crisis from 1979 to 1981 as a symbol of our faith and belief in our country and people. To this day the star has never gone dark.
