30 days of truth- day 13 and just wondering

Day 13 → A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough ass days. (write a letter.)

Nope, not going to write a stupid letter. I'm 26 forever, not 14. Music from NIN, Superchic(k), Metallica, Alanis Morrissette, Newsboys and Marilyn Manson has helped me through a lot of crap for various reasons. Still do. Consider that my letter.

Do you ever wonder if people actually *care* about how you are doing or feeling? You know, the ones who say "How are you?", but could really give a shit less? There are people I still talk to, albeit through Facebook or emails, that I wonder if they really give a shit or not. Why do I wonder? Because they never respond. No email back. No response on FB. Hell, not even an occasional text saying "I was thinking about you." These are things I actually *do* all the time, because when I say "How are you doing?", I want to know. When I say "I miss you" or "I love you", I mean it. Eh, maybe I am just not worth giving a flying fook about. It's one of those days...

I care! I'm hopeless about leaving comments anymore - it's all I can do to get everything read and absorbed but I do think about you, the rapidly disappearing you, as you slim yourself into oblivion!!

I find myself not commenting so much on FB because then everyone who comments or likes the status pops up in my e-mail Inbox and I've already got more than I can handle!

I wouldn't be back in the blogsphere if it wasn't for you!

Pam@ I know you are there :). If you mark the emails from FB as "spam" they won't clog up your inbox :).

Love you!

I can relate to this....so many times I send out stuff, never to hear a response. It is one of the reasons I started doing Outside My Window ~ and I even email the link to close family and friends, encouraging them to do the same back at me. Rarely do I hear back from that even. **Sigh** I tend to believe it is not all about me, but it would be nice to hear news from people. Forwarded jokes and chain letters just aren't the same. :)

Debbie@ I don't even get forwarded stuff! How bad is that lol

These are the folks that say, "Keep in touch," and you know they are leaving it up to you to do the work. they will talk to you if you show up... Still it is true that for some people writing is a pleasure (me) and others find it a real pain and an unpleaant process, even when the writing is to someone they really love. I'd say, in this case, try another way to connect - but if that doesn't work, maybe it (whatever it was) is over...
