rest in peace

I found out a few minutes ago that my brother-in-law, Carl, passed away suddenly in his sleep last night. My sister, whom I have had a strained, or, more honestly, a horribly nasty and violent relationship with, called to let me know. She asked me if I was still part of her family. I may be a cast iron bitch, but I am not hard or cold-hearted. My heart breaks for her. He was a good good man, and we got along wonderfully...he even took great care of my dad before he died. This is sad news indeed.

Rest In Peace Carl
Say hi to my mom and dad for me

I, too, am sorry for your loss, and your family's loss. May God bless you and yours with great peace and comfort at this time.

when I'm feeling sad about something i find regressing mentally to a child like state helps me to find joy in things which take my mind of what's making me sad.
Things like sugar cookies and microwaved socks on cold feet.

Thanks everyone. The fact that that could happen to my own husband freaks me out.

Cogent@ Sugar cookies and socks would work here lol. I am sad, per se, but not on the next plane out sad, if you know what I mean.
