semi-wordless wednesday-adventures in wiley's backyard series

I have to take my youngest, Savannah, to the doctor today. Last week, she complained of an ear ache but didn't have a temperature. Saturday is spiked a 102, but Sunday, it was gone. She had an appointment for Tuesday, but she seemed to be fine, so I cancelled. Yesterday, she started to complain about her other ear hurting. I wasn't sure if it was actually her being sick or just her wanting to stay home. So, since she had no temp, she went to school. She didn't eat much at breakfast, but I didn't really think about it. She came home from school looking horrible, sporting another 102 temp. Apparently she fell asleep in class and when she told an adult at school about her ear, they told her it was just the wind bothering it. Savannah put herself to bed, got up for maybe an hour, ate no dinner, then went back to bed and hasn't been up since. Here's hoping it just one of those things.

Shittiest mom in the world award winner here...

UPDATE: Savannah has a double ear infection and is now on Amoxicillin. Those pink tablets still smell as gross as I remember!

Hope she feels better soon....and don't accept that award just yet! They do that all the time....they feel better and as soon as you send them off, they crash and burn.

I can't help but laugh at the response she received from the school...the wind....really ~ wind?!

Yeah...the wind. The fact that she fell asleep in class and looked like a zombie didn't tip anyone off apparently lol.

Her body is probably acclimating to all the 'viruses' roaming around the school since she's new in the environment. Within a couple weeks of the boys going into school they all had chicken pox. Ironically started by the teenager, that was fun. But I remember the doctor making a comment about the body adjusting....
Rest and water.
Hang in there but your frickin' fingernails.
