confused

I am on Facebook.  I like Facebook.  Through Facebook, I have been able to find people I haven't spoken to in up to 20 years.  It is cool...

...or was...

...until today.

Facebook administrators have changed things over and over as far as the setup of the homepage, interaction, etc.  One thing that changed is the fact that now, everything, and I mean *everything*, that people like, get involved in, join etc., is now shared with *everybody*, whether the other people want to see it or not.  I don't appreciate the fact that I have to know that people belong to the MILF fanclub, that's all.

Today, I commented on the fact that, as I perused my homepage, I saw a nice big old bare to the world va j-j there from a fan page for people who like to go panti-less, and those who appreciate women who go commando.  I stated that I hate the fact that you can't get rid of it, and basically, the only way to get rid of the info is by deleting the friends who belong to it.  Now, I have a lot of "friends", in quotes because they are people I join up with for game apps, not friend friends.  These people I don't care about deleting.  I don't delete those I actually have relationships with, duh.  When the convo came up about FB not giving any other option but to delete people, a holy war was started.  You heard me right...

A holy war...

...over porno on the homepage.

I was accused of being part of a hate religion, that God doesn't delete people when they do stuff wrong, that I am closed-minded, blah blah blah.  I was also told that it was because of people like me that others hate religion.  Because I don't want to see bare vaginas on my homepage.

Quite frankly, I could care less if you like this kind of stuff.  Seriously.  I just don't want to have to see it.  Is that too much to ask?  I'll keep my Napoleon Dynamite and Keanu Reeves fanpages to myself, you keep your MILF and nekky fanpages to yourself.  Is that okay?

I was called everything but a white girl, and they say *I* am the hater.  Strange, isn't it.

Oh well.  Hate me because I am a Christian.  Hate me because I don't care for porno.  Your choice.

God still loves you...

...so do I.

I just don't have to deal with you if I don't want to.

It's amazing how people think they have a right to shove their crap down our throats...and then you're a bigot, racist, Christian for saying it's your right to not look and/or listen to it.

Fight! I'll bring my steel-toed boots along if you need me.

WOW! I never noticed any of that on my Facebook page. I either don't know anyone into that (thank goodness) or I just didn't pay any attention.

I believe you have a right to see or not see what you want on your own page. Keep up the fight.

BTW, I am a friend of Sleepy Cat Hollow.

HOLY MOLY! Well, I am with you, sister. And frankly, I have never been too thrilled with Facebook. Honestly, it just seems like another pain-in-the-neck aspect of useless technology. I have a page, but I have been thinking about deleting the whole thing for ages now, because like you said, they just keep changing it, and with every change it gets worse. WHY IS IT that no one cares one whit about offending Christians (of which I am one, and I am not ashames), but if we say so much as BOO because some totally disgusting thing we never asked for is in our face, we are the first to be thrown to the ground? I am fed up! DOWN WITH FACEBOOK!!! I am heading over that way to see what the heck is going on.
