happy birthday to me

Today was my *sniffle snort leave out real age here* birthday today.

Okay, forget it.  I'm 41.  41 glorious, fabulous, fantasmagoric years old.

It is going to be a good year.

To start out, unlike a whole buttload of other out there who have no actual reason to celebrate and act the fool, I did not drink like a fish.  I do believe that is out of my system.  This evening I have had one Smirnoff Ice Sour Apple Bite and one glass of Tabor Hills Reisling.  It's my birthday so, unlike those unwashed alcoholic masses, I had a reason to celebrate.  I did it the best way ever...with my family.

They surprised me with a trip of Frankenmuth for lunch and shopping.  It was an amazing 75 degrees, sunny and warm as all get out.  I still have pics of one of my past birthdays when I had to chisel my car out of a block of ice.  The whole of Michigan is in total shock, and I am enjoying every moment of it.

Later, after we got home and I got band-aids on my blisters (haven't worn sandals in a while and my feet were *not* happy with me, hence the reason I took adhesive tape with me just in case...smart move on my part) we had a piece of the cake that the girls made me.  The best part were the candles Don got to put on it:

 That's right y'all.  I'm 29 forever!

I was in a such a good mood today that I even sat still for Don to take a picture of me while at lunch:

Memorize it.  You may never see another one!

I have decided that this is my year.  MY YEAR.  My year to lose the rest of my weight and become an uber-teacher like my bff and WW mentor, Marla.  It's gonna happen :).

So anyway, there you go.  Happy St. Patrick's Day to all and I hope y'all had a safe and good time.

As for me, this is my motto:
Born lucky...and blessed.  Behind measure.

Peace, Love and (erin go braugh!) Zombies \IiiI

You look precious, the cake looks yummy, and I wouldn't have guessed more than 29 either. Your darling is such a genius.

I'm glad your birthday is yours and no one else's, and that you are claiming this to be your year to do some things you want. I'll be here watching and cheering.

Go Sweet-forever29-Zombie Goddess!!!

Happy (lucky) Birthday, my Luv!!!!

Happy Birthday one day late! I was part of the alcoholic mass last night abeit I was bathed and drinking at home around the bon fire.
I LOVE Frankenmuth! And really, what is up with this weather??? We're moving to Gaylord to be IN the snowbelt of Michigan so this freaky weather better not be the norm from now on!
Your cake is lovely but not as lovely as you! You are BEAUTIFUL, 29 or 41!
