food of champions

The other day I asked for suggestions for something to blog about, whether it be serious or tongue-in-cheek.  The lovely Magical Mystical Mimi suggested the most amazing topic:

Pop Tarts

How can you *not* love a pop tart.  Especially a zombie pop tart.

Zombie tart?

Pop zombie?

Either way, these things are the bomb.

And yes, they are a food.  A main part of the food pyramid if you are the parent of kids.  Now, granted, these commercials showing them with ice cream, or chocolate coated just sets my teeth on edge, but I digress...
I don't care how old you get, how much weight you are trying to lose, you will never say no to a pop tart.  Except maybe the brown sugar ones.  Who thought of that one?  Seriously?

My fav, believe it or not, is the frosted strawberry.  Give me one of those little silver packages and a glass of milk (with ice...weird for a girl who hates ice in *anything*), and I am a happy camper.

Hence the reason I never have them in the house.

That is where the zombie tart comes in.  You try to eat it, and it eats you instead.  Maybe I'll sit him on my thighs and let him go to town.

Munch-a munch.

So there you go.  A post about a pop tart.  Ta da :).

On a different note, I have been given an interesting homework assignment by my lovely witchy friend Magaly.  In a week or so, I will be creating something, be it a story, poem or a piece of jewelry about a Japanese Goddess by the name of Izanami-no-Mikoto, the goddess of creation and death.

Go figure why I was drawn to her.

This will be fun so stay tuned.

Today the oldest is home because of ACT's at the high school and my hubs has my car because he pulled a 2 inch rock spike out of his tire the other day.  Teenager and no escape.  Pray for me.

Peace, Love and (pop tarts....yummm!) Zombies \IiiI
