for the week 03.29.10

Outside my window...
Wet and nasty at the moment, but it is supposed to be getting better as the week goes by. The weatherman today decided to share his views on global warming by starting his forecast with "the never before seen massive climate changes being *proven*" that are "affecting our weather like *never* before!" Words like "proven" and "never" should be used carefully, especially by a man who can't even look outside and predict clouds. Freaking idiot...

I am thinking...
that I need to figure out what is going on with me, not physically (i'm fat, not hard to figure out) but spiritually. I also think I will watch "Gamer" today after the girls go to school. Mmmmmm Gerard Butler...

I am thankful for...
my husband putting up with me all these years and for Sisa having a wonderful 10th birthday party Friday. It went so well, and all the girls got along swimmingly...I have never seen 2 hours with that many girls go by that fast ever!

From the kitchen....
Dunno.

I am going...
no where fast :).

I am hearing...
Sisa's electric toothbrush, Playhouse Disney on the t.v., the washer downstairs.

Around the house...
laundry, vacuum, dust, mop, the usual.

One of my favorite things...
My lavendar goodies from Debbie at Magickal Folks Crafts and my Apple Empanada coffee from New Mexico Pinon Coffee Company.

I am reading...
"The Silver Needle Murder" and "Oolong Dead" by Laura Childs, and "When God Weeps" by Joni Eareckson Tada.

A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week...
picking up kids from school, helping coach Sisa's soccer team (what the hell was I thinking??????), getting ready for the girls' spring break, which obviously means a 100% increase in the amount of housework I will have. I want a spring break!!!!!

Picture for the Week:
Found it on the ether and, with Easter coming, it made smile. Zombie Easter Bunnies...how can you not love that??

Aw shucks....thanks for the compliment. :)

I was looking at your zombie bunnies image and they remind me of Invader Zim. I don't know why, but I love that show!! :)

I wanted to let you know that I emailed your profile description to one of my best friends. She is the wife of a Baptist Minister and has been trying to reconcile with her "inner Goddess". She says that I'm special because I can be Eclectic enough to be Pagan and respect (and sometimes follow) the teachings of other belief systems.

I hope she decides to follow your blog, for I think you have great things to say and a very nice message to pass.

Magaly@ Thank you so very much for the compliment. I was a practicing Wiccan for 10 years before accepting Christ, but I know that their will always be Goddess in me :).

I was a Afro-Caribbean Catholic the first 13 years of my life, and I still hold on to the good things; I always will.

BTW, I stopped by to let you know that I left you a little something at my blog, please stop by and claim it ;-D
