friday fill in

1. When will sleep through the night in perfect peace? I didn't get to sleep until 7 this morning...

2. Wolf Lake with Lou Diamond-Phillips was the last good tv show I watched. He is freaking hot!

3. Everything has its beauty on the outside but not always on the inside.

4. A mini bag of popcorn is what I had for dinner.

5. I'd like your psychosis to stop making mine feel inferior.

6. In Texas, specifically in Wiley's backyard is where I want to be right now. (who didn't see *that* coming??)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to nothing, tomorrow my plans include *gulp* school shopping for the girls and Sunday, I want to take five minutes to breathe!

I know I have been back and forth and sideways lately, and things have changed and changed and changed again, but this is the biggest change of all. After much deliberation and tears and conversation and tears and realization and more tears, we have decided that all the girls will be going to public school this year. I homeschool because I love and adore my children to the nth degree, and I want they to have the best of everything. Right now, I think that I need to lift my wings and let my birdies try flying on their own. Maybe they will love it and go on to graduate...maybe they will do a year or two and come back home. I am putting this in God's hands, just like Don and I put the decision to homeschool in His hands. I want what is best for *them*, not most comfortable for *me*. It will be strange that, for the first time *ever*, I will have an empty house. Maybe I can use this time to not only clean the cobwebs from the house's rafters, but mine as well. I know, I sound at peace now, but give me a know how I am...

My girls have always gone to public school. Unfortunately being a single parent, I didn't have the option. There are pros and cons with public schools...some of the cons being the administration. I hate how they "cookie cut" everyone when it comes to behaviour and other rules. Many times they find it easier to punish them all instead of finding the ones who create the problems. I felt that type of system showed the good kids that it didn't pay to be good because they suffered the same punishment as the bad ones. I did fight the system on more than one occasion (and won) when they tried to add my oldest daughter to the cookie pan! :) You have given them a good you have to trust they will continue to make the right decisions. Who knows, you may begin to enjoy your "me" time.

I'm just catching up on blog-reading.

I'm sure the girls will do fine in public school and make lots of new friends and new experiences.
