whooo-hoooo!

I told y'all a short time ago that I was getting back on the dieting trail. Not an easy task for an at-home educator insomniac who has access to the refrigerator 24 hours a day. I am here to tell you...
IT'S WORKING!!!!!!!

I weighed myself this morning, and although I will not tell you what the scale said exactly, all I can say is that I am one happy flippin' woman! I have lost a grand total of 9 pounds since the beginning of this adventure! I have finally seen the numbers drop below a point that I haven't been able to for what feels like a lifetime. I have a looooooong way to go, but I am closer than I was before. My bestest best friend is also doing the diet thing, so I am dragging her into my motivation/accountability idea so we can both conqure this weight thing together. She is a very beautiful, statuesque young lady, and the weight she has lost already just makes her that much more. She is my motivation as it is, and I just want to give a bit back to her :).

My husband has lost over 30 pounds using the plan that he has me doing right now. The plan, you ask? It is plain and simple: cut the calories and exercise. Period. Oh yeah, and the hard part for me: eat breakfast lol. When he told me that his plan would work for me to0, that diet commercial for Slimquick came to mind. You know the one: the woman's husband drinks diet soda and loses 18 pounds, she drinks only water and loses nothing. Let's face it...IT'S ALL TRUE lol! But, Lordy Lord help me, my hubster is right. It is working. Just don't tell him I told you! I'd never hear the end of it!

Oh, one more thing. I'm not a huge sports fan. I do watch NFL, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Michigan doesn't have a pleathora of good sports teams. The Pistons have their moments, the Lions should be kicked out of the NFL permanentely, and our college teams are hit and miss. But we do have one thing: Hockey. More to the point, Red Wings Hockey. And guess what:
~
WE ROCKED THE HOUSE YET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Don and I watched the last game, and it was awesome! Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The last few seconds were tense, and you could feel the air being sucked out of the state when you saw that puck just graze the red line on the net behind Osgood. I even got chills! The Pittsburgh Penguins. Penguins. Yeah, they are scary. Whatever... Sorry, Hawk, you were w r o n g lol!
~
So, whoo-hoo to the Detroit Red Wings, whoo-hoo to Naomi and Don and I for the weight loss, and whoo-hoo to the rest of y'all, because everyone deserves a whoo-hoo once in a while.
~
Until next time loves,
~

AWESOME!!! I'm doing the losing thing too! I'm down about 15 lbs. (Which is hard to believe- but the smaller jeans says it's so) I want to be healthy! and active again!

Just watch on the exercise-I ended up pushing myself a bit to much- and had a lovely little stress fracture (or so it seemsed, I've had to stop running for 5 weeks! But I'm walking again finally)

Okay shutting up!

Hugs and Congrats!
YOU CAN DO IT! (said like Rob Schiender's character from the Longest Yard) :)
