do you love me?

My husband, Don, taught the girls a secret hand squeeze that we use at just random times. Don would start, one of the girls would go next, then Don, then the girl finishes it. Here is how it goes:
4 squeezes-Do you love me?

3 squeezes- Yes I do!

2 squeezes- How much?

1 big long squeeze to show how much.

There are days that I feel like I am not loved, or a better way to put it, unlovable. The past 2 weeks of pain have, at times, left me feeling drained, irritable, depressed and very unlovable. Don, my girls, friends, even could they love me at all? Just when I feel like going and eating worms, one of the girls will walk up and do the secret squeeze, or just tell me "I love you, Mommy". Then they hug me, and I find myself not wanting to let go.

I was sent an email from Don's Aunt Linda called "The Day God Dropped The Paint Box", and it dawned on me that God does the secret hand squeezes too. Let me show you...
Me: Do you love me God?
God: Yes I do.

Me: How much?
God: This much...

...and this much...

...and this much...

...and this much too...

In the poopy spots, its hard to remember that we aren't alone. My prayer, for all of you, and even for me, is that we always remember that when everything hurts and we feel unlovable, there is a great big God that is holding us and squeezing us tight.
We live in an awesome world.
Make it an awesome day.
Peace To All and May God Bless You.
Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.
Have a blessed weekend, and may you feel God squeezing you too.

You are my daughter, just as if I had borne you myself. I want you to know that I always hold you in my heart with three squeezes and one long squeeze. You are so loved by Poppy and me...
