what's it like?

I'm curious...

what is it like to have an interesting life?

I read all sorts of blogs, and all of them are interesting, which is why I read them.

Me?

I'm simple.

I've been married to the same great man for 19 years. I wake up in the morning. I make breakfast. I get three kids ready for school. I do laundry and dishes and vacuuming and sweeping and scrubbing. I go to a dead-end job. I make dinner. I clean up. I help kids with homework then put them to bed. I go to sleep. Rinse and repeat.

I do get on the treadmill to nowhere though.

I live in a small very meh town. The last "festival" the town put on, the "Hamburger Festival", was a complete shambles, complete with pouring down rain, freezing 40 degree temps and, well, no hamburgers. No interesting sites to see. No place special to go since they shut down Starbuck's. Date night at the Home Depot does not a fun trip always make, but I guarantee I could find my way around there with my eyes closed.

I do invite people over quite often to cook for them or bbq. That's about it.

I suppose that is why I read a lot of detective novels based in the southwest and southern tea shops though lol. I need to escape this mundane existence somehow.

Oh, and read all about y'alls lives and get jealous of the trips to historic places that are down the street and lunches in Santa Fe and gorgeous weather.

I could go eat lunch in the mega-cool farm town of Lapeer or really switch things up and go to the Meijers in Auburn Hills. Whew! I'm burning it up!

So I ask all you trip taking, fun place living, uber-interesting life people: what's it like??

Peace, Love and (when did i let my life get so boooooring) Zombies \IiiI

Its all depending on your point of view. From my vantage point, your life seems more interesting then my own.

I hear unchecked rampant drug and or alcohol abuse can really liven up a boring life.
Or you know, you could have an affair.

I work at the second oldest college in the nation which is bordered by a town that was created during the time when freedom and independence was just a dream. And that is just where I work, it doesn't count the surrounding areas which are as rich in history. I can drive a couple of hours and I'm in the mountains...and 30 minutes will get me to the Atlantic Ocean. I'm centrally located on the east coast which makes traveling up and down the coast fairly easy. I'm really pretty fortunate in where I live but I don't take advantage of it like I probably should. I guess because I see it every day.

I know it is all in the eye of the beholder, but there are moments when I wonder how I ended up in white bread hell lol.

I used to be in Redneck Hell, now Im in SUBURBIA...and love it. Its not terribly exciting, not until something gets spilled or the baby's diapie has a new mystery color. Mostly I spend my day in a battle with the children to see which will cause me to open the cheap chardonnay first! ;)
