random wednesday

Random thought #1: And here we go again...

Just purchased tickets for the midnight showing at the local theater. According to Steph, we need to get there at 10 p.m. to get in line. Funny, but sad...I agree with her. I know that some people out there will think it is silly for me to do this for a third time (went to the midnight showings of "Twilight" and "New Moon" as well), but I do this for a few reasons. 1) It is a fun movie. Okay, no Oscar caliber performances, but I love vampires and hot werewolves, so it is a win-win one way or the other. 2) These are memories for my 14 year old. My parents would never, in a million years, gone to something like this with me. I enjoy hanging out with my daughter, and one day, in the far far far off future, she will be able to look at her kids and say, "I remember when your grandma took me to see this!"

Random thought #2: I hate crows. Nasty, vile creatures that don't even have a nice song to them. Seagulls may be rats with wings, but crows are hyenas with wings. Loud stupid things...

Random thought #3: As of last night, I am just a hair away from a 25 lb. loss. I have so far to go still, but I am so much closer now :). Clothes are getting big on me and I can simply take a pair of freshly washed jeans from the dryer, put them on and zip them up without staring at them and thinking, "Dammit...now I have to try to stretch them out to get my fat butt in them!" I love that!!!

Random thought #4: I love my patio now :). A friend of ours was getting rid of some stuff and gave us his gazebo tent. You know, the kind you can find at Home Depot for too much money lol. Don and I put it up on Sunday (which is *not* easy for a midget like me!) and it is very very cool! Changes the feel of the area completely. As a matter of fact, that is where I am sitting right now, having my coffee and listening to the birds. I have a bit of dolling up to do, but it is so nice to just sit and chill out here. It's not Wiley's backyard, but maybe I can channel a bit of her mojo and make it as spa-like as hers is...a bit...a teeny bit...

Random thought #5: The powers that be decided to close down the Starbuck's here in Oxford. WTF??? That was the only place to go, hang out and relax for a while. Now, all Oxford will have are bars and liquor stores (of which we have approximately 6 in a one block area) and emergency rooms/doctors offices (we have four...for the idiots who get drunk). Yea us :(.

Okay, I'm done for now. Need to get the 14 year olds' butt in gear to go to flag corp practice, then workout and go to the grocery store (meh...triple dog meh).

Peace, Love and (where's my soy mocha latte with foam?) Zombies \IiiI

I enjoy the Twilight movies as well, even though the vampires sparkle and I know I shouldn't think the werewolves are hot because they are under age. lol

I like how you take your daughter to the midnight movies. Thankfully, mine have never asked me to do that....but it is cool that you do cause she like it.

You should create your patio paradise with an El Paso theme...it could be your place to go when you need your Texas fix. :)

We'll be there with you, albeit in a different state. Waiting for tickets to go on sale here and then my finger will be poised over the "Purchase" button!

I think we all know what I think of those abortions people call films but if you want my honest opinion of what a total and complete shit stain they are on the history of humanity maybe someday you can persuade me to tell you just how much I wish everyone who had a hand in making these awful, awful films would develop incurable boils on their most tender parts. MAYBE. ;p
Your daughter will love this memory though.
