30-day blog journal: day 8

Day 8 is supposed to be a photo that makes me angry or sad, so here it is:

This is a picture of my parents with my children at Christmas...or Thanksgiving...or birthdays... There aren't any. My parents spent a combined total of approximately 4 days being around my children...their entire lives. We have no cards, no gifts, no photos, save for I believe maybe 5: 3 with Stephanie, 2 with Savannah, absolutely none with Sierra. The shitster, on the other hand, has hundreds with my parents and her kids.

My girls still mourn the loss of Don's dad, who passed suddenly in October. He may have been a son of a bitch with massive issues, but he loved and adored his granddaughters. My girls have no idea who my parents were. That makes me sad...it makes me angry...nay, it pisses me the fook off.

So, there you go. Fun stuff, eh?

Peace, Love and (why didn't you ever fooking care?) Zombies \IiiI

Wow....I have no words that would explain why they may have been that way. I wonder to myself why some parents/grandparents can treat one child so differently than the others.

My sister's mother-in-law is that way with her grandchildren. My sister has no children, but does have two nieces and one nephew on her husbands side of the family. One girl is worshipped, but the other two kids...she acts as if they don't even exist. To make matters worse, they are siblings so it is glaringly obvious to all involved.

One set of grandparents would pick one grandkid of each of their kids to 'adore'...doesn't matter how many other kids are in that family. I was the 'chosen' from my family...then there were 7 other cousins that were 'honored'...the other 12 were ignored.

Would piss them off when I would refuse to spend the night without my sister.
