Outside my Window...Snow, with the chance of ice and more snow. Lovely.

From the learning rooms...A slow day. We went to our Monday co-op for a hang out session, then lunch, then some math and phonics.

I am thankful for...My family and Don still being employed here in Michigan.

From the kitchen...Absolutely nothing now, but last night I made a double batch of no bake cookies.
`
I am wearing...Flair leg jeans, striped coral and white shirt, white socks (that are not keeping my feet warm at all), my bracelets, three silver rings, my winged heart and burro necklace and make-up to cover the odd dotty rash that likes to just show up on my face whenever it wants to.

I am reading..."Death Of A Poison Pen", a Hamish Macbeth mystery by M.C Beaton, then after that, who knows.

I am hoping...that I can keep the Christmas/winter blahs at bay for a while longer. I miss my mom and dad so much this time of year even though they refused to have anything to do with my family. Whenever my friends bitch and moan about their parents having to spend time with their kids, having to go over to their homes to eat, etc., it infuriates me to the core. Try having had parents who ignored your children their entire lives, then complain to me about yours loving your kids too much.

I am creating...something I'm sure.

I am hearing...Sierra burping for some reason and singing the song "Chick Habit" from "Death Proof", Savannah getting ready to take a bath, the washer going into spin cycle, and Stephanie getting frustrated about something on the computer.

Around the house...it's cold and I need to pick up here and there.

One of my favorite things...nothing really comes to mind right now.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...board meeting this evening, figuring out school work for the girls, trying to get the holiday spirit alive in myself, dress rehearsal for the children's play on Sunday, noticing that I have a 16th anniversary that I am not sure we will celebrate or not (we have two wedding anniversaries...another long story...), trying my darnedest not to freeze to death.

Sounds like just what I need - no-bake cookies! I'm in that "I should be baking, but I don't want to" mood. I guess no-bake cookies would be a compromise. Can I have the recipe?
Hope you find some of the Christmas spirit - I know what it's like to live in a climate that you hate although mine was extreme humidity, not cold. I could always put on another sweater if it was cold, but there's a limit to what I can take off and not get arrested!
I tend to never wear jewelry, except my wedding ring which doesn't come off! Not much of an accessorizer, I guess! I admire it though! I saw an MC Beaton book at the library and thought of you - didn't sign it out though, maybe in 2009.
I'm in a Holiday funk, too. BTW~ Congrats on NANOWRIMO!
