First, over-used words: tapas and bullying. "Tapas" is a Spanish word used for, basically, appetizers. Call them fraking "appetizers" unless you are at a Mexican restaurant for the love of goodness. And, with the word "bullying", if some kid just looks at yours wrong, it isn't bullying. They are just assholes.
Now, general snarkiness about crap I am sick of hearing about:
Whitney Houston drowned because she was high on 5 different things. S.h.o.c.k.e.r. Now shut the hell up about it. She wasn't a great person and, no matter how often you talk about it, not one damned person is going to take a life lesson away from this. If they did, this shit would have ended with Janis Joplin. And, no, just because she was famous doesn't make her a special case or more susceptible to it.
The Trayvon killing. I am sorry this young man died, but we DON'T KNOW exactly what he was doing or what happened. The guy who killed him was a jerk, especially because he has not come out of hiding to tell his side of the story. How about we not automatically call this a case of racism and start rioting in the streets until we know the facts people.
Pink Slime. The fraking pink slime. Let me let you in on something people. If it isn't that, it will something else. You want your kids to eat better at school? Then PACK THEIR LUNCHES YOURSELF! Take if from me when I say that the shit they serve in schools is the grossest, most un-appetizing, unhealthy stuff on the planet. Gone are the days of the 80's when food was cooked fresh in the cafeteria. It is all shipped in in frozen boxes that have been sitting on a dark shelf some where for goddess knows how long and then put in to a convection oven. And all those lovely fruits and veggies? They are pre-cut in bags that have a shelf life of MONTHS, if not, in some cases, YEARS. How do I know? Many many years in schools and cafeterias.
That is it for now. Lucky you :). These are just things I am absolutely sick to death of having to hear and/or read about on a daily basis.
On the up side, "Angry Birds Space" came out. Yea.
Peace, Love and (shut the frak up please!) Zombies \IiiI
The "Hunger Games". Nuf said.

DAYUM!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for bringing this shit up! i was about to do it this morning cause I'm sick to death of it all. But a better person beat me to it. KUDOS my dear. I freaking love you!!!
BTW...you from El Paso by any chance?
Leeanna@ I had to let it out before it made me explode lol!
And, yes ma'am, I am from El Paso. Northeast to be exact. 915 to the core baby :)!

WOOOT!! Northeast too!!! Wow small world. I lived there 32 years after dad retired from Army. Left in 2002 but been back only twice since:(. I miss the mountains. You could always tell where you were by looking at them. My brother says the poppies are crazy in bloom right now. (Heavy sigh)
I'm with you on all of this, especially the Whitney Houston crap.
Trayvon: I think it is exploding more and more because more and more evidence is being presented and corroborated. I don't think there's enough outcry yet. I can't hardly think about it because deep down it is so upsetting to me.
He was walking home from getting candy talking to his girlfriend. He reported to her that he was being followed. He put on his hoodie started to run because he was frightened. Zimmerman called the cops to report a suspicious person. They told him NOT to follow the person. He not only followed Trayvon, but when Trayvon successfully lost him he continued his search eventually refinding Trayvon. He confronted Trayvon directly; he instigated the altercation. He shot Trayvon. He was an armed man that was chasing an unarmed 15 year old that was walking and frightened and likely did not know what to do to avoid the whole thing.
"He knew he was being followed and tried to get away from the guy, and the guy still caught up with him," Tracey Martin said. "And that's the most disturbing part. He thought he had got away from the guy, and the guy backtracked for him."
I think the outcry is justified and just wanted to pass it along - reasonably and not judgmentally or angrily. (just because written words can be misconstrued.)
Bingsy@ thank you for all the information. To have such a young life destroyed by a paranoid vigilante with a gun is sick. This man obviously has major issues and needs to be put away forever...or his kneecaps shot off, whichever. I just hope the outcry stays one of gaining justice and not spreading hate of any kind.

Finally someone telling the truth about Whitney! The one time I mentioned it on this forum I belong to, all the other writers were like, "She had an ADDICTION! It's a disease!" Thank you for being so authentic!
And ok, you don't like tapas...how do you feel about tap, as in "tap that ass" (it's my favourite saying, even if my husband rolls his eyes at me when I use it.)
Oh, and if you really want to see the gratuitous bikini shots (which really, I look like the joker from Batman in all of them...Botox please!) you need to click on the link that says Muscle Insider. I'm the chick with the green bikini, big curly black hair, and crooked smile. Ciao Bella! xoxo
Sandra@ I love tapas lol. I grew up on the border of Mexico so they are common there. I just hate when it starts getting used as a buzzword for cheese and crackers ;). Tap that ass...that works too!
I'll have to check out the gorgeous chick in the green bikini right now!
